Theme: Signs and Symbols • No. 2-6

I went to the closing day of the Geoff McFetridge/Ed Fella exhibit at the Redcat Gallery today. It was totally awesome and inspiring. I brought my camera, but forgot my memory card. SO ANGRY.

I am going to start to take pictures of the signs that I am inspired by there is a reference.

No. 2
This is supposed to be the car pool/van pool/bus sign you see on the side of the freeway that encourages you to park and ride. Only this option also has a monster also. This is my favorite drawing I've done in a long time.

No. 3
This is an over-exaggerated turn sign, but it's pretty close to the one I saw. I just thought it was funny that it pretty much told you you could go any direction but then it also said "ONLY" at the bottom. You can ONLY go ANY direction.

No. 4
Lávese las manos.

No. 5
I don't know if they have this everywhere, but Southern California has this stupid "Click It, Or Ticket" slogan for fastening your safety belt. But they also just have the boring silhouette "Fasten Your Safety Belt" signs around, these would be much cuter.

No. 6
This is a sign for the freeway on ramps near my house. From the signal, to get on the 5 North you go straight, to get on the 5 South you turn right. It makes sense, I swear.

Thanks!!

I have no openings to go to soon - except I am having a little show this weekend at All'Aboard Boutique.

All I do is work, or sleep :(

I really like the buckle up sign. I agree - we should use more of the ones you created versus the lame buckle up signs on the road.
